Wedding Budget - The Reception

When planning your wedding budget, you must think about the number of guests and the catering services chosen. Given below are some examples that will facilitate you in the process of wedding budget planning:

- Average per head cost for a Traditional Full Wedding Breakfast - £50

- Average per head cost for an ordinary wedding Buffet - £15

- Drinks options (Free drinks or Pay as you Drink) – Note that it’s crucial that you make the right choice when it comes to Drinks as it could add/subtract as much as £1500 to/from your wedding budget.

Deciding who to invite to the wedding and who to ignore can be a serious dilemma! Of course you are a very nice and sweet person who cares for everyone they know – be it your colleagues at work or your grandma’s neighbors. It’s always nice to be nice, but sometimes you have to get a grip on yourself and act ruthlessly.

Some tips to help you shorten your guest list include the following:

- Only invite friends, not work colleagues. Even among friends choose the best and most close ones – not everyone who is a part of your Facebook Friends list should be invited

- Have a no children invited policy – kids can get very annoying sometimes and like to make a mess everywhere they go and that’s the last thing you would want happening on your wedding day!

- When it comes to inviting your relatives, limit the invitations to first cousins only and forget about Uncle Tom and Aunt Teresa and their two adorable pet kittens Harry and Felicia! That’s right; sometimes you have to let it go.
